The college is located in northern part of Tanzania, in Kilimanjaro region, in Moshi District council, Kilema South ward, within the street of Mrereni. The college is about 12 kilometers from Himo Junction – the main road from Moshi to Dar es Salaam, and 10 kilometers from Himo town.
The college is situated on a very conducive environment along the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro in an area called Kilema. The majestic view of Mount Kilimanjaro can be seen from the college campus. The area is characterized by serene natural environment situated between Marangu and Legho hills with an altitude of 1145m from the sea level.
The temperature at the college area is estimated to range from 16ºC to 30ºC. This area experiences rainfall twice a year, with the minor rains (Autumn) between October to December and the major rains (Spring) between February to May. The cold seasons (winter) are usually between May to August.
The college is led by the Principal, who is appointed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology. The college has an Advisory Board that oversees the progress of various operational and management activities of the college and provides advice when necessary. The Principal leads the college through various committees and departments such as the Academic Department, Student Registration, Ethics Department, College Production Coordinator, Internal Quality Control Coordinator, Procurement, and the Accounting Office.
